Fourth Annual Automotive Aftermarket Global Design Awards

Getting the word out to the public through advertising, merchandising and promotions is not just luck. It is a skill developed by professionals who toil long hours using their host creative abilities. After all, every product and service in the aftermarket is competing against other similar services.

These talents deserve recognition. This year more than 500 entries were received for the Fourth Annual Automotive Aftermarket Global Design Awards. Aftermarket Business provides a forum to showcase the talents of advertising agencies and companies in five areas — print advertising, merchandising/displays, promotions, packaging and brand logotypes.

The awards given in each category are Best of Show, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention.

The competition was open to all marketers, staff and independent designers, packaging and display manufacturers, and advertising and promotion agencies. The entries could be regional, national or global.

"The sophistication of the various types of materials is a credit to the ad agencies and the individuals who create these wonderful designs," said John Battle, Editor-in-chief of Aftermarket Business. "It is also a demonstration of teamwork between the agency and its client. These people are a vital reason for the success of new products and promotions."

The judges came from a wide background that provided a good cross-section for judging. The entries were judged on how effectively they supported a marketing strategy, as described by the participants.
